NewsDetachment Commander reports patrol hours are on the decline in Haliburton County SHARE ON: Smith Autumn, contributor, Tuesday, Jun. 9th, 2015OPP patrol hours are on the decline, but that may not be a bad thing. Minden Detachment Commander Chad Bark gave a presentation to Highlands East council yesterday saying that with increasing costs, and decreasing number of officers, they’ve become task focused. He explained this means they’re more analytical on where officers patrol, so it’s the best use of their time.Because of this, people may not notice a high police presence in their area, which according to Bark, means they don’t have a problem.
