Recent provincial changes to allow more types of off-road vehicles and ATVs on public roads are causing changes in the Township of Algonquin Highlands too.
Yesterday, councilors agreed to change their by-law which currently says only ATVs are allowed on municipal roads. It will change to be in line with the new province-wide legislation which comes into effect on July 1.
Reeve Carol Moffatt said she hopes associations and OPP step up their game in safety messages so our fire fighters aren’t responding to fatalities.
