The Haliburton County Paramedics have already achieved some of their goals in the Community Paramedicine Program.
They’re seeing one client right now who was making frequent visits to emerg, and since the paramedics have been making the house calls, the patient hasn’t been back.
Paramedics are waiting on medical history for six other patients before they can put them on the program.
The goal is to keep seniors in their home, and give doctors information about their patient’s living conditions.
