Haliburton County has officially sent their letter of opposition to the province about the sale of Hydro One.
Information came forward from a group called Keep Hydro Public, and this week councilors decided to support them.
In the resolution they passed, it says a public electricity system helps pay for public services. It also says that selling it to private companies means it will no longer be under the scope of the Auditor General, an Ombudsman or a Financial Accountability Officer.
The letter was sent to the provincial government.
