A total of 64 charges were laid in a recent traffic safety initiative in Haliburton County.

Officers were looking for the big four causes of collisions – speeding, distracted driving, impaired driving, and aggressive driving.

There were 30 charges for speeding alone, and 22 for other highway traffic act violations.

If you think someone may be impaired while driving on the roads, trails, or waterways, officers are asking you to call police at the detachment, dialing 911, or *OPP on your cell phone.
