A drowning in Highlands East has left one man dead. Yesterday, Haliburton Highlands OPP, the fire department and Haliburton County EMS responded to the call on Little Glamor Lake.

According to police, 29 year old Saksinnarung Som was trying to swim from a dock to a floating raft when he had some difficulty and went under water. People at the cottage couldn’t swim so they started yelling for help. A cottage neighbour was able to find him and bring him back to the dock where CPR was started.
