The investigation into a suspicious vehicle on Highway 35 just north of Carnarvon is believed to be related to a death investigation in Bobcaygeon.
In a press release from City of Kawartha Lakes OPP, it states officers attended a scene on Falls Bay Road in Bobcaygeon early this morning (around 4:20 a.m.) for a death investigation.
The vehicle located on Highway 35 is believed to be associated with the investigation.
The report says the area in and around Kushog Lake has been secured and the Highway will be closed in both directions until further notice.
Police say there is no identified concern for public safety.
Earlier, Moose FM learned that residents are being allowed through as far as Saskatchewan Lake Road, but no further.
Specific details are not being released as the investigation is ongoing.
