Minden Hills councilors were in session for a special meeting this morning to discuss a new generator station. Today they agreed to have Orillia Power Generation purchase a shore road allowance on the property they already own. Councilors also agreed to shorten the notification period because of the tight timeline. However, they made sure to emphasize that they won’t be restricting public access.
There’s a public meeting happening today at 2:00 at the council chambers about the generation station project. Council is waiting to hear feedback from the public before they make a decision on the project itself.
