A Property Owners’ Association in Stanhope is sending a freedom of information request to the province, and Algonquin Highlands council is lending their support.
The owner of the property at Highway 118 and 25th Line Road wants to put in a septic disposal site. The association is concerned about the effects on the area, considering it’s prone to flash flooding which will run through neighbouring properties.
Councillors have expressed their concern around the lack of public and municipal participation in the application process.
