If you were looking forward to getting your side-by-side on the Rail Trail, you’ll have to wait a little longer. County councillors did not make the decision at this morning’s meeting on whether or not they’ll allow it.
A lot of issues were raised including visibility, brushing work that needs to be done, and the width of ORVs taking up most of the trail. They also talked about all of the factors they need to take into account including signage.
Councillors agreed they didn’t want to make the decision in a hurry, but take their time to get all the information and make the right decision.
They also decided to hold off on passing the by-law to allow ORVs on the shoulder of County roads as well, saying that decision shouldn’t be rushed.
