Haliburton Highlands Health Services is getting an increase in their base funding from the province. It’s something small hospitals in Ontario have received for the past three years, and CEO Varouj Eskedjan says it makes a big difference.
Eskedjan says he thinks the province is recognizing that smaller hospitals have less flexibility and it’s harder for them to find savings.
