The county will be signing a contract with Bell Alliant to install fibre optic cable on the rail trail. This will allow for high speed internet access to better serve residents in the area. The county identified significant plants and wetlands before agreeing on the location. The contract will make sure that Bell pays for any repairs and maintenance that need to be done on the trail in the future. They will also pay the county an annual fee.
