Haliburton County’s Planning Committee is back up and functioning after over a year without one. Highlands East Reeve Dave Burton was voted in as chair, and they looked at how they plan to distribute development in the County over the next 20 years.
The county’s Director of Planning says the population is growing, so they need to make sure they have enough units to house them.
Those plans and information will be part of tomorrow’s public open house from noon until three to talk about the county’s new official plan. It’s taking place at the council chambers in Minden.
