Branding the Haliburton Highlands as “nowhere” is a success according to the Ontario’s Highlands Tourism Organization.

They say the nowhere moment hashtag has been shared by visitors and operators, and they’ve seen a big increase in followers and fans.

Barrie Martin from Yours Outdoors says the campaign is a great way for him to get more exposure.

The campaign wasn’t received well by local businesses because they thought it was a negative term.

The idea behind the campaign was to encourage visitors to get away from the grid lock and experience a nowhere moment.
