The flu has arrived in our area. The Haliburton Health Unit has reported the first case of the flu and has some tips to stay healthy during the holiday season. The virus spreads through coughing or sneezing. People can become infected by touching things with flu viruses on them, then touching their eyes, mouth or nose. The Health Unit recommends you wash your hands often and sneeze or cough into your sleeve. They also say stay home if you are sick.
