Plant diversity needed to tackle climate change

A workshop tonight will tackle the issue of planting seeds that will last during climate change. Founder of the Haliburton County Seed Library, Carolyn Langdon says we need plant diversity so we can breed new plants that will withstand drought, torrential rain, high winds, and disease. The workshop will teach participants how to collect and store seeds. It will also be a roundtable discussion. It starts at 6pm at the Dysart library and it’s free to attend.
