Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada are celebrating Smile Cookie Week from September 14th to 20th. Cookies with smiling faces will be sold for $1 each, with proceeds supporting local charities.
The new Barry’s Bay location is celebrating its first Smile Cookie Week by donating proceeds to the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation.
Executive Director Toni Lavigne-Conway says the foundation is grateful that it has been chosen as the charity that the restaurant wants to support.
Owner Glenn Keating says 13 years of fundraising at his two other Bancroft locations have shown that communities like to support their local hospital.
He says Bancroft’s stores will be donating proceeds to the North Hastings District Hospital Auxiliary. More than 8,000 cookies were baked at the two locations last year. Details can be found here.
