Neighbour dispute leads to charges near Harcourt

A neighbour dispute has ended in charges for one local man.

The Bancroft OPP responded to a call from a man near Harcourt who reported that his neighbour threatened him with a firearm Thursday afternoon.  Police say the man reported hearing gunshots and then approached his neighbour, who was parked outside with a long gun.  Police say the neighbour then threatened him and left.

A 56-year-old Cavan-Monaghan man was held in custody for a bail hearing.  He is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.
