An OPP RIDE check leads to drug charges and seizure of contraband cigarettes.  Almost 4,000 vehicles have been checked in the fourth week of the festive campaign. One driver was charged with impaired, 3 with drug possession and a number of 2 and 3 day suspensions were handed out. There were also 3 non-RIDE related impaired driving charges. A 35 year old Sturgeon Falls man was found to have pot on him and 950 cartons of unmarked cigarettes. He’ll appear in Minden court in February. The festive RIDE campaign continues until January 2.
