Loyalist College has earned a bronze rating for higher education sustainability.

The college’s first sustainability report has been recognized by STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System.  The report ranks colleges and universities on sustainability based on their: operations, academics, engagement and administration/planning.

Sustainable living is taught in more than 150 of the college’s courses.  Students also volunteered more than 30,000 hours in one year.

College President Maureen Piercy says the report shows the college what it’s doing well and where it needs to improve.
