The Highlands East fire department is the busiest they’ve been in ten years. Fire Chief Bill Wingrove says calls are at a ten year high, with 205 calls so far this year. That’s compared to only 160 this time last year. Wingrove says 70 per cent of calls are medical, which has always been their standard.
