The Central East Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) is trying to stop the province from cuttingĀ beds in long term care facilities.
CEO Deborah Hammons says itās a huge concern for Extendicare in Haliburton County because there already isnāt enough. Warden Murray Fearrey says our small community canāt afford that because it will mean jobs lost.
Hammons also tells councillors the improvements that have been made arenāt enough. She says there needs to be more money, and theyāre working on improving services.
