County councillors debate their role in professional recruitment

The results of the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Professional Recruitment Committee aren’t up to snuff.

In a recent council meeting, councillors talked about re-booting the committee because the Haliburton Family Health Team needs help with recruitment. However, councillors agreed with Carol Moffatt when she said there’s been confusion around leadership when it comes to the committee, and they need to make it more effective.

Council agreed to discuss their involvement and what needs to change for the committee to be effective.

Warden Murray Fearrey says the county need to be more competitive in our offers.
