Some big changes are coming now that the Pinestone Resort has new ownership. Aurora Hotel Group bought the resort back in August and CEO Ravi Aurora says they have big plans.
Aurora says they’ll also be doing a $2 million renovation in the hotel and guest suites. He’s expecting that to be done within two years.
In a recent council meeting, Aurora told councillors they’ll also be focusing on improving the relationship with local residents.
Aurora says they’ll be demolishing the current building at the front of the property soon, and starting with the gas station first. He says they will try to pre-rent about 50 to 60 per cent of the plaza before they start that build. He also told councillors he hopes to include a medical facility, but will be looking to them to find out what the municipality needs.
