Two people are facing charges in connection with numerous thefts from vehicles in the Haliburton County area dating back to last spring. Haliburton Highlands OPP says following an extensive investigation, a search warrant was carried out at a home on Wigamog Road on Friday. As a result, a 26 year old man and a 22 year old woman both from Haliburton were arrested. Charges include theft under 5 thousand dollars, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of a controlled substance. The male suspect will appear in court in Lindsay for a bail hearing tomorrow, while the female suspect was released on a promise to appear in court March 5th.
