New airport means increase in taxes for some residents

New property assessments mean some taxes are going up in Algonquin Highlands. Council just got word that the province reassessed the Stanhope airport and is increasing the tax there because of growth and development. Unfortunately, that means properties surrounding the airport will have to pay more. The Township will also have to pay $12,000 a year for the airport.
