The Haliburton Health Unit has confirmed a death in our area from the flu. An adult under the age of 65, with no other medical conditions was hospitalized but later died. He did not get the flu shot this year. The Health Unit says the predominant strain this year is H1N1 which can cause serious illness in younger people as well.They’ve added a flu clinic in Lindsay this Thursday the 9th from 1 to 3pm.
