And Director Pat Kennedy says he doesn’t see it slowing down in 2014. The aging population needing immediate medical attention is on the rise. Residents aged 71 plus are the most frequent group needing medical assistance for diabetes, falls, failure to cope and pulmonary disease. Director Kennedy said they blew the budget and will have to look at ways to manage the increasing demand.
