Bark Lake could be the site of new housing development in Haliburton County. With plans that have been in the works for almost ten years, all the pieces are finally coming together. Highlands East council is giving their support to re-zone the land, and now it’s up to the county to give the approval. Legislation including the Endangered Species Act has already been addressed. The property owner is looking to build 83 lots.
