Despite a central agreement with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation over contracts, agreements need to be made with all local board teachers.
Federation District 15 which represents Trillium Lakelands District School Board teachers is still waiting to reach an agreement. According to President Colin Matthew, teachers in this school board have been without a contract for 14 months.
Bargaining will take place on November 4th, but if that breaks down, Matthew warns that teachers will begin phase one of sanctions. He says these sanctions would not affect student learning or extra curricular activities.
