The province wants a new legislation for sexual violence and harassment and our MPP is welcoming it. Laurie Scott says the act will bring in a lot of good changes, but she says more still needs to come forward.
Scott says the Act is proposing changes to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, but she says is still needs more work.
Part of the act includes more funding, which Scott is hoping is used properly.
Scott says the Select Committee on Sexual Violence and Harassment still has to bring their report forward. She’s hoping their suggestions will be added to this bill. That report isn’t expected until December.
