Crews are on scene doing repairs to some erosion that closed part of Newcastle street in Minden, but it’s not expected to open for a few days.
According to the company in charge of the condo project, the temporary shoring wall buckled. Greystone Project Management says no one was injured and there’s no damage to adjacent properties.
The investigation is ongoing but they’re assuming the recent heavy rainfall caused the erosion. The site has been stabilized and new shoring is being installed.
The Township’s roads department says Newcastle from St. Germaine to Milne Streets will be closed for about three days.
