There’s a new committee being formed in Algonquin Highlands. The Environment and Stewardship Committee will be looking at things like energy audits, use of landfills, LED lights and shoreline work.
They will give recommendations to council, but will also deliver information from council back to the public. The goal is to work with environmental groups in the area and not duplicate what they already do.
The details of the committee and it’s membership are being finalized.
Meanwhile, another addition to council is the Cultural Resources Committee, and they’re looking for more members.
