It looks like another year of increases for Algonquin Highlands. Council took a first look at next years budget, and OPP costs alone are increasing by almost 6 per cent.
It’s something municipalities across Haliburton County will be feeling in their budgets for 2016.
The biggest project for Algonquin Highlands so far is an addition on the Township office, which council already approved moving forward in the planning stage.
Reeve Carol Moffatt says with the OPP increase, and the budget for each department, residents will see a tax increase, but it’s hard to say what that will look like.
