Jamie Schmale is making the rounds to local councils as the new MP in our riding.
It was a long campaign that saw him elected, but Schmale says he’s happy it was all about the issues in the riding.
He says it’s going to be a very different four year term but he wants to start a good working relationship with local councillors.
Schmale says with the new federal government’s plan to put money into infrastructure, it’s his job to fight for each municipality’s fair share.
He also says he’ll keep working to bring better internet service to the county.
