The Haliburton Highlands Land Trust is celebrating after getting a provincial award. The Ontario Land Trust Alliance has given them the Land Trust Achievement Award for the Turtle Road Mortality Mitigation Project. Our local Land trust was credited for their commitment to community engagement and stewardship. The turtle project will enter its third and final year in 2016.
