Our local employment centre is holding an information session on the trades. Employment and Training Consultant Bernie Nicholson says next week’s session will be all about auto mechanics, HVAC and construction.
Nicholson also says HVAC has been the most consistent demand in our labour market over the years. They’ll be talking about HVAC training and government funding that’s available.
She says the session will be a benefit to people who are looking to re-train or change their tracks.
Nicholson explains they added construction because there are a lot of seasonal workers that could benefit from more information.
Local employers will be part of the information session to talk about the work environment, education requirements and the labour market demand.
