HCSA gets $50k for new bridge to reopen Minden trail

A snowmobile trail in Minden will reopen thanks to a $50,000 grant. The Haliburton County Snowmobile Association applied for the money so they can install a new bridge on Trail #4.

The trail is behind the Minden cemetary and is the main northerly route out of town. The bridge was wiped out three years ago during the flood, and the association hasn’t had the money to replace it.

Now, the funds are coming from the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs. The Association says they’ll have the trail open for snowmobiles this winter.
