The issue of field spreading in Algonquin Highlands is making its way across the region.
Deputy-Reeve Liz Danielson is a board member on the Rural Ontario Municipal Association and she recently raised the issue. Danielson says there’s a lot of interest in the issue.
It’s coming forward after a septic disposal site was approved on a property at the corner of Highway 118 and 25th Line Road.
The board is writing a letter to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change expressing their concerns and asking for someone to speak to them about it at their next meeting.
