Authorities at the Trent Severn Waterway have warned that there are two large trees lodged in the Kinmount Dam. Crews are working to remove the trees, however, high water levels are complicating the removal.
Debris is collecting around the trees, causing increased water levels. Residents and business owners near the dam are advised to prepare for possible flooding. The water levels are expected to recede as the trees are removed.
The closest location for sandbags and supplies is the Burnt River Public Works depot at 90 County Road #44.
