The Township of Minden Hills is in great financial shape with a surplus of $1,011,555 for 2016.
Reeve Brent Devolin feels blessed the township is a great position.
Devolin talks about a project they will be able to get to work on.
The township will not need to borrow any extra money to build the new fire hall.
Devolin adds that tax rates in Minden Hills are very fair when compared to other jurisdictions in Ontario.
He also says finishing in the black is a team effort of council and staff.
Devolin credits previous politicians for not accumulating massive debts.
