If you live in Dysart, there’s a time limit on when you can use fireworks on your property.
Bylaw Officer Kristen Boylan told the www.myhaliburtonnow.com newsroom fireworks cannot be set off after 11 p.m.
Boylan says the rule is because of Dysart’s noise bylaw, which is in effect from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next day.
Also on the topic of fireworks, Minden Hills Fire Chief Doug Schell says if you are using them, make sure to pour water on them once they have discharged.
