Haliburton County will be getting a new ambulance.
The County’s Emergency Services Committee pre-approved the purchase at a recent meeting for $140,000.
However, the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care will cover half the bill.
Chief of Paramedic Services Tim Waite says in most cases, ambulances are replaced every six years.

Waite also says there are enough ambulances to make sure people are looked after.
According to a committee report, the new ambulance would be ready by next spring.
