Parts of Haliburton County Expected to get 20 Centimetres of Snow

Haliburton County is going to see white over the next two days.

Environment Canada is predicting a heavy snowfall between now and Tuesday evening. According to Environment Canada, Haliburton, Minden and Southern Haliburton County, as well as Oxtongue Lake, Fort Irwin and Northern Haliburton County are under a special weather statement for snowfall.

Parts of Haliburton county are expected to get close to 20 centimetres of snow over the next 24 to 36 hours. The weather forecast has the snow lightening up Wednesday morning, with the rest of the week forecasted to be a mix of sun and cloud.

Environment Canada is urging all drivers to take care and if you do not need to be on the road, stay where you are.
