Load restrictions in place on county roads

Haliburton County is adding a weight limit to its roads to coincide with nicer weather -This is not great grammar

The county Roads Department will be enforcing load restrictions on all of the county roads. County staff say that the reduced weight restrictions will be enforced as soon as signs go up on the various county roads.

According to the county, all of the annual and project permits for moving heavy vehicles, objects, or structures that exceed the limit set out in the act and Bylaw are not valid during the reduced load period.

Weight restrictions will be in effect when and where signs are posted. Those roads are County Road 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 39, 48, 507, and 648 with the exception of the part of the road at County Road 10 west of Highway 118.

Although the reduced weight restriction will start being enforced when the signs are up, the reduced load period started at 12:01 this morning.
