Despite the wind’s best efforts, the damage to the AJ LaRue Arena is minimal.
Earlier in the week, the high wind speeds pulled the shingles off of a portion of the arena in Haliburton Village, and it seems like that is the extent of the damage.
MyHaliburtonNow.com got confirmation from Dysart et al CAO, Tamara Wilbee, that the roof does not appear to have taken any structural damage.
She says ” the structure is fine and there are shingles under steel providing some protection.” According to Wilbee says the insurance company is coming to evaluate the damage soon.
The arena is operating normally.
