HIGHLANDS EAST, ON – A suspicious person call has turned into an arrest for the O.P.P.
According to the Bancroft detachment, officers with the Community Street Crime Unit were dispatched to a call of a suspicious person, on Wednesday, August 21st.
The investigation led to the arrest of both a man and woman. Officers found multiple drugs at the scene, including Fentanyl, methamphetamine (Crystal Meth), and cocaine.
O.P.P. officials say there was also a prohibited weapon and two other weapons.
The female, a 21-year-old from Bancroft was charged with possession with intent to traffick a schedule one narcotic, and possession of proceeds of crime.
The male, 19, is facing five different charges in possession with intent to traffick a schedule one narcotic, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction, and breach of recognizance.
Both were held for a bail hearing in Belleville.
