Because of the high number of calls coming in due to COVID-19 inquiries, the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit needs to first help those that need them the most.
They want to speak to health care providers, residents who have travelled outside Canada, including the United States, and are showing symptoms of COVID-19. Symptoms such as fever, coughing and difficulty breathing.
They would also like to speak to anyone who has come in close contact with someone who has travelled abroad and are experiencing symptoms of the virus.
If you are experiencing symptoms, the Health Unit wants you to isolate yourself from others right away, and keep trying to communicate with them.
