MPP Laurie Scott has a message for cottagers coming up this weekend.
With the easing of some restrictions in the province, and the long weekend upon us, many seasonal residents plan to come up. MPP Scott wants them to follow the rules.
She says “if you’re coming up to your cottage, don’t bring gangs to come and have parties, keep it to your own family. When you come into town, just follow all of the stay safe rules that are out there”.
Scott says “we need to do this for the protection of our small business owners and employees”. MPP Scott says the opening of businesses will still require social distancing for quite a while. She says it is the “new normal” and “we can all make it work because we are all in this together”.
Scott says she’s excited about the numbers of cases coming down and the good news of no new cases in Haliburton County.
