The Algonquin Highlands Emergency Control Group met yesterday to continue the assessment of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Cottage kits will not be available for purchase until further notice.
The township’s hiking trails will be open for public use starting Friday May 15, with the exception of the Dorset Tower trail, as it leads to a closed facility.
Township cemeteries are open but people are reminded to keep the number at the gathering to five. For gravesite funeral services there can be no more than 10 people, not counting staff, but only for the service. Physical distancing must still be practised at all times, by everyone at the cemetery.
Algonquin Highlands want to remind everyone there is still a complete fire ban province wide.
